Windows 10: HDD transfer made my computer screen go black

I’m trying to transfer data from an old Mac book HDD. All was going perfectly fine until it wasn’t. My computer began to slow down a lot and I figured it would be better to file transfer in smaller chucks. I tried to cancel the operation but everything stopped working. I tired to force the application to close but now my computer screen is black. I can still see my mouse and open task manager. I don’t know what happened. Is it safe to disconnect the HDD without ejecting it? I don’t mind starting the file transfer over and I don’t care about my current laptop being broken. I’m mainly worried ab

Black Screen after Log on


Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad
