Windows 10: HDD writting data very slowly

Discus and support HDD writting data very slowly in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I have this issue where suddenly my 4TB 5400RPM SMR drive with 128MB cache begins writing data copy to or from another drive very slowly 200 kb/sec ....     HDD writting data very slowly


    I have this issue where suddenly my 4TB 5400RPM SMR drive with 128MB cache begins writing data copy to or from another drive very slowly 200 kb/sec . The same issue happens if I try downloading something from steam to this drive . The downloading simply does not progress. The issue is temporarily resolved if I disconnect and reconnect the drive from Device Manager but the issue soon returns. I have checked for errors and defragment the drive and shows fine I have attached a report for this drive from CrystalDisk

    Secondary HDD freezes when writting to/deleting files


    After 2 days of downloading using internet download manager and writting to secondary HDD, can safely confirm that the sata data/power cable is the culprit. No more freeze during writting.

    It is possible that your
    HDD was unreadable
    causing the error message to appear. We recommend that you perform these troubleshooting steps and check if there are any changes:


    • Shutdown
      your
      PC.

    • Unhooked
      the
      HDD
      and
      turn on
      your
      PC.

    • Reconnect
      your
      HDD
      and
      restart
      your
      PC.

    If the issue persists, we suggest that you contact your
    laptop/computer's manufacturer
    for further assistance.
