Windows 10: HDDs Becoming RAW After KB5053598 Update or a coincidence?

Hello,I got a new HDD 3 months ago and it was working perfectly fine. I was using it early in the morning on March 12th and I turned off my PC with the "update and shutdown" option. When I turned the PC on in the afternoon, it was booting up very slowly and making weird scratching noises. My HDD had changed names and when I clicked on it, the error message "Drive is not accessible. The parameter is incorrect" occurred. I went to Disk Management and the drive was healthy, but RAW. Windows had became incredibly laggy when the HDD is plugged in. There are over 50,000 errors in the Event Viewer, t

HDD was unreadable
causing the error message to appear. We recommend that you perform these troubleshooting steps and check if there are any changes:

Windows 10 OS cloning Failed due to Bad Sectors on HDD Failure. Now I can't boot on both the original and new HDD

I have tried steps 1 and 2 for the Old HDD, but nothing has changed.

For step 1, it says, "The type of the file system is RAW. CHKDSK is not available for RAW drives".

 

External HDD's 'converted' to RAW on PC

I have multiple external HDD's, both WD and Seagate, that are recognizable by my PC, but list in device manager as RAW and empty. I can access all the information on the drives on my laptop just fine. I've tried to reformat the drive and it wont allow me
to access the drive, reading "the format did not complete successfully." I've tried everything from wiping my SSD that windows was installed on and reinstalling fresh, to updating my BIOS, to uninstalling the drivers...

I cant find anything that will allow them to work on my PC.
