    HDMI laptop to TV - No Signal


    I have a HP envy J140-na laptop.

    Specs: Core i5 4th gen, 8gb ram, Nvidia GeForce 840M 2gb graphics card, Intel HD 4600 onboard graphics,Windows 10 x64.

    I am trying to connect my laptop to a full hd HDTV, using HDMI cable, but the TV shows no signal, no picture or audio at all.

    I have checked the cables and HDMI ports on TV to rule out cable and port problems, i have tries to connect other laptops and they work very well without any issue.

    I have tried updating, uninstalling, reinstalling the graphics and audio drivers, as well the bios drivers. Finally i did a fresh and clean install of Windows 10 as well and updated all the drivers.

    But still there's no picture on the TV.

    The thing is the laptop recognizes the HDTV when i connect the cable. I can see the TV in the audio and the Intel graphics control panel as well. I can change the settings for the TV in the Intel control panel, as well as the TV shows up in the display settings and detects it.

    But doesn't matter what i do, there's no picture on the TV.

    Please guys if you have a solution to this I am all ears.
