Windows 10: HDMI Splitter for Multiple Screens 4+laptop screen

I bought a new 8-Port HDMI Splitter, but my laptop is only detecting 1 of the 2 monitors that I connected and I want to add at least 2 more screens soon. Any suggestions?

HI,

I have bought a HDMI splitter for my laptop to have 2 monitors. Unfortunately the monitors do not seem to connect. If I plug 1 monitor directly into the laptop, that works but the splitter will not connect to either monitor
