Windows 10: HDMI switcher with audio extractor works with all devices except my laptop

Hello, I just bought a prozor HDMI 3x1 switcher with audio extraction. I connect a Google Chromecast, a ps4, and my laptop to the switcher, the output of the switcher is going to a monitor and the audio to speakers. The switcher works perfectly with all the devices, but when connecting my PC I get the image on the monitor but the audio doesn't go to the speaker as it does with the other devices. I already tried to update audio drivers and nothing and when I see the playback devices it doesn't detect any output from the HDMI port.

This is from Intel regarding hdmi:

• Install the latest Intel® Graphics Driver, this also installs the latest audio codecs for HDMI.
• After driver installation, connect to the HDMI TV or digital display, using a HDMI cable.
• Select HDMI audio as your default playback device. Click Start>Control Panel>Hardware and Sound.
• Click Sound. The Playback tab lists the audio playback devices for your computer.
• Right-click on the device for HDMI audio, and select Set as Default Device.

• Can you provide us the Make and Model of your HDMI switcher?

Laptop HDMI to TV: video but no audio


Okay. I'm having one heck of a time trying to get this thing to work. I recently purchased a new Asus laptop running Windows 10. I have it plugged in to an HDMI switcher which, in turn, runs to my TV. Now the problem is I am getting no audio from my TV speakers, but the video is perfect. I know it's not any of my HDMI cables because I plugged in my older laptop and that works perfect. And I know it's not the switcher. I also tried to right click on my audio device manager and it says nothing about my TV or HDMI being the default audio player. I've also checked on "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices." I've downloaded the AMD Catalyst but that didn't seem to do anything. I am completely stumped. My other laptop was working flawlessly as soon as I plugged it in. Any advice would be wonderful.
