Windows 10: HDMI won't connect to TV

Discus and support HDMI won't connect to TV in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I've been using my laptop on the TV, then someone's show came on so we simply changed the channel.     HDMI won't connect to TV


    I've been using my laptop on the TV, then someone's show came on so we simply changed the channel. Once we turned it back, the TV showed "no signal" from the HDMI. We've tried doing all the regular stuff, like unplugging, restarting, and power cycling everything, but the HDMI won't connect. The TV is still working with the fire stick and there isn't any reason the HDMI should have suddenly stopped working, so we're pretty sure it's the laptop, but I can't even find out of the computer knows it's plugged in or not. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or, at the very least, does anyone know how to
