Windows 10: HDR capability not detected by some games. Like games using the Frostbite engine.

Hi, HDR is working great in many games, but I noticed in both Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 5, which use the Frostbite Engine, they are not detecting my HDR10 display even though I've selected HDR10 in game.You can deduce whether HDR has been engaged in Frostbite games by typing ~ to bring up the developer console, then typing "render.DrawScreenInfo 1". This will bring up some system info, including whether HDR is enabled or disabledMy guess is that something has changed in Windows and they can no longer detect that the system supports HDR10.Has anything changed in recent months/years in how W

HDR not working in some games, working in others

HDR does not work for those games in any scenario I've tried.

I have attempted to run the games with my other monitors physically unplugged, and they still don't allow me to use HDR. I'm using up-to-date DisplayPort cords when I run them on my two HDR monitors.

I also have an HDR-capable TV with which I use a somewhat new HDMI 2.0 cable to connect it to my PC, and even when I do that, HDR is still grayed out or unavailable in those games.

Nothing about the cables I use has changed since everything worked, and I still have one of the monitors that these games specifically worked fine with before it all stopped working.

I have tried to narrow down the causes as much as I can, but since I have gotten them to work with HDR with this setup, and setups like it, before about this time last year, I'm thinking it could be caused by a change in how HDR-capable displays are recognized in Windows itself, or it could be a change in AMD's drivers.

Theorizing aside, nothing I have tried works.

The problems started ever since I bought a new 4k HDR capable monitor (BENQ EW3270U).

I'm talking about seemingly random black screens while running 3D applications like games that occur only for a fraction of second. It happens quite infrequently while playing some games but I am able to reproduce the issue while using Unreal Engine 4.

It seems that this has been fixed on Windows 10.

Enabling HDR & WCG in Win 10 seems to solve it for other users.

I would really like to continue working in Unreal Engine 4 using Windows 7, so I'm wondering if there is a fix for Win 7 available.

Any help would be appreciated.
