Windows 10: HDR is say it's not suppourted

    I have an Alienware ultrawide 34.18 inch aw3423dw that suppourts HDR how do I get it to work

    Windows says it cant display HDR.

    Your hardware as listed in Systems 1 and 2 is too old to support HDR. That is both any iGPU or Graphics Card. Why worry as you say you don't need it anyway.

    What's your GPU? If the graphics card is the 9600 GT listed under "My Computer", it's from 2008. No HDR.

    Welcome to Microsoft Office Community Forum.

    Thank you for letting me know about the concern, I hope you are doing well today.

    I truly understand you really like enable HDR of your computer. The possible cause why it’s not working maybe your PC and display doesn’t meet certain hardware requirements.

    I suggest to update your windows first, please follow the steps below:

    • Start > and then go to Setting > Update & Security > Windows Update


    I would recommend the link below and kindly follow the troubleshooting steps in it.

    HDR settings in Windows (microsoft.com)

    I would like to ask a video as well showing the error or the issue.
