  1. Hdr not supported right after new monitor plugged in

My tcl 55inch 4k hdr tv was working perfectly fine with hdr and I got a new monitor plugged it in and now it says that hdr is not supported on my tv. It isn’t the cable because I used the HDMI from the tv to the new monitor and when plugged in windows says that hdr is supported on the new monitor. The new monitor also flashes and stutters with hdr turned on in windows. This is really frustrating as it was just working prior to new monitor. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the gpu driver and don’t know what else to do. I have a 1070ti and 8700k cpu

  2. HDR issues with multiple monitors

I have a gigabyte ultra wide 34" 1440p monitor i replaced a dell 24" 1980x1200 with. I have two more of the dells that i used to use in 3 monitor wide eyefinity/surround for gaming. I wanted to take advantage of the full quality of the new display so i have been attempting to activate HDR, but the issue i have is that when only the left dell monitor and new one, or even just the new one, are plugged in HDR will work find on the new one. When i plug in the right monitor either with the new one or will both the others hdr will turn on in control panel, the screen flickers, then when it returns instead of being on hdr is set to off again. It will not activate and stay on with the right monitor plugged in, either to the 1080 ti or to the onboard displayport. i cant figure out why, all drivers are brand new and i even upgraded to an MSI gaming edge z790 MB and the problem remains. Any Ideas?

  3. HDR support for windows 11

Hi Nadeem. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

I would contact LG Support which is included with the monitor purchase for at least the first year, during which they must get it working properly or repair or replace it under warranty.

Try these troubleshooting steps for HDR monitor display in Windows 11:

    HDR not supported

    Hello William3241,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Let me help you solve the problem of not supporting HDR.

Your two monitors originally supported HDR, but the problem occurred after updating the system, right?

If the problem occurred after the update, it may be caused by the incompatibility of the monitor driver or graphics card driver with the latest system.

You can consult the manufacturer of the device, whether the current monitor and graphics card drivers support HDR function, if not, please replace the supported drivers.

If the driver supports the HDR function, the system still prompts unsupported, then I recommend that you uninstall the latest update to see if it can be resolved.

Open Settings > click Windows Update > Update history> Uninstall Updates > click the update you want to uninstall > click the "Uninstall" button above.

In addition, the following link is to a support document I found for HDR setup in Windows that you can learn about.

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.
