  1. HDR option is flipped

For some reason my HDR option is flipped. In windows 11 graphics settings, it is set to off, but is definitely on. I turn it on, it turns HDR off. I have removed the second monitor, reinstalled the graphics drivers including a clean installation nVidia 4080S and also removing the graphics driver through Device Manager, restarting which installs basic drivers, then reinstalling the nvidia drivers. As soon as I reinstall the nVidia drivers, HDR again is turned on even though it is set to off in Windows. I have also tried plugging my monitor into a different port.Even my monitor is saying

Where is the HDR Streaming option?

Yeah so I have HDR on, there's an Auto HDR option, HDR content brightness. Battery options is checked to allow HDR games, videos, and apps on battery.

There is a video playback tab that has HDR streaming listed but the only options when I select it are:

A preview that shows what video will look like

Process video automatically to enhance it check box

Save network bandwidth by playing video at lower resolution check box

And the Battery options again set on Optimize for Battery life

  3. HDR Calibration Option is missing

    Hello Arin Paliwal,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

There could be a few reasons why the HDR calibration option is missing when you switch to your dGPU or turn on HDR. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check if your graphics drivers are up to date.

Go to your laptop manufacturer's website and download the latest graphics drivers for your laptop's iGPU and dGPU. Install the drivers and check if the HDR calibration option appears.
    2. Check if your display supports HDR.

Not all displays support HDR. Check your display specifications to make sure it supports HDR. If it does not support HDR, the HDR calibration option will not appear.
    3. Check if your display is set to the correct color profile.

Make sure your display is set to the correct color profile. Go to Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings > Display adapter properties for Display 1 > Color management tab. Check if the color profile is set to the correct one for your display.
    4. Check if the display is set to the correct resolution and refresh rate.

Make sure your display is set to the correct resolution and refresh rate. Go to Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings and make sure the resolution and refresh rate are set correctly.
    5. Try using a different HDMI or DisplayPort cable: If you're using an external monitor, try using a different HDMI or DisplayPort cable. Sometimes a faulty cable can cause issues with HDR.
If none of the above solutions work, you may need to contact your laptop manufacturer's customer support for further assistance.
