  1. Headphone/Earphone volume suddenly too low even at maximum

    Hi all,

I'm not sure when the problem exactly began but it's been around a week now. My earphones (some local wired ones) are outputting very low volume compared to before and compared to how loud they are on my phone.

I couldn't stand more than 60% volume before but now I have to crank it all the way up to 100% and it's still not that loud. Is there something I can do in settings to fix this?

Earphones are nice and loud on an older Windows 7 laptop too btw.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advanced!

    Increasing headphone volume over maximum

    Hi!

First of all, everything is "normal" with my phone volume output, as in it's not broken. When listening to music I get a good sound volume output wether using headphones or not. There's enough volume output to even listen to most podcast episodes in heavy
    traffic.

However, there are many podcast episodes that have recorded sound levels so low, that even with volume on maximum I can't hear a thing when using headphones if there's any background noise in my environment! And I'm talking about normal city background,
not heavy traffic, construction, airplane takeoff or anything like that.

Some have suggested that the podcasters sould just normalize their audio volume - but really, that's a really strange way of looking at the problem. What I have is a digital phone that processes digital audio redordings - it should be a really easy task
to adjust the volume level that's going to the output, even over the "maximum" volume. It's clear that the phone
can output enough volume to the speakers even for heavy traffic conditions, so it's not a hardware limitation. Of course, some clipping might occur if the recording is normalized - but I couldn't care less! If the original recording has low volume,
using some sort of preamp over "maximum" would not even reach clipping levels.

So: Does anyone know if there is a way to digitally amp up the volume over maximum, to compensate low sound levels on the audio file?

(I have a Nokia 6220 classic, but I presume this topic would apply to other S60 phones as well.)

X6: Voice volume via headset/earphone too low

Not only volume is low through headset but it is low through loud speakers and earphone too although the volume is at it is maximum, especially when using gps voice guiding instructions when driving. This seems to be a software bug that nokia needs to fix
    in this phone.

My Bluetooth headphones are at very low volume

    Hi

    I looking for some help.

My Bluetooth headphones are now at very low volume, even when at 100%.

Just to add some more detail

    They are Sony Wf1000x

When connected there are two devices listed

    • WF-1000x Stereo
    • WF-1000x Hands-free

When I set the default to the stereo the volume is very low, when I set it Hands-free the volume is correct, but only from the left speaker.

I have attached the headphone to the phone and the work perfectly,

This issue has only arisen in the last few weeks, for the previous 2 months I had no issue, nor for the previous six months before when I had a different laptop on windows7, instead of my current Windows10 one.

I have checked that the drivers are all up to date, as well as windows updates.

I have unpaired, removed/replaced the drivers, uninstalled the device.

    All to no avail.

Any suggestions would be great;y appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Vincent.
