Windows 10: Headphone is recognized but unable to play any sound on it.

So I wanted to change the volume in the volume mixer. Im pretty sure I pressed windows Sonic for headphones and now my headphones seem to be broken. They just stopped playing sounds all together. It is still recognized as a headset when it's plugged in. I can still set it to a device. But when i play for example spotify with it, it plays over my speakers. Im on a laptop When Im playing spotify on the speakers and interupt it by selecting my headset the music stops and I get a warning: spotify can't play right now try importing the file.I have tried:numerously restarting my pc.trying to turn

Headphones are recognized but no sound is playing, Mic works fine

After a recent update, I am unable to use headphones to play sound. It is recognized by my device but I cannot hear a thing.

The mic is also working fine.

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to run playing audio troubleshooter and check if that helps to resolve the issue.

1. Type troubleshooting in the search bar.

2. Select Troubleshooting.

3. Select View all on the top left corner.

4. Click on Playing audio.

If the issue still persists,

Go to Start, enter Sound, and select
Sound Control Panel from the list of results.

On the Playback tab, right-click on the headphones and choose
disable and now right click on speakers and choose enable and check if that works.

Headphones not recognized in playback devices

• Type “Troubleshooting” in the search box and press Enter.
• Click on View all in the left pane.
• From the list, click on Playing Audio and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.

If the issue still persists, then try method 2.

Method 2: Uninstall the Sound drivers.

• Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
• Select Sound, video and gaming controllers.
• Uninstall the High definition audio driver
• Restart the system.
