    Headphones not recognised on Dell XPS 13 2016 Windows 10

    Headphones that work with other windows 10 laptops ( Apple Headphones) will not work with my Dell XPS 13 2016 model. They plug in fine however sound comes out of speakers and the headphones do not come up in the playback devices. I have turned the display
    on for disabled and disconected devices but they still dont recognise headphones. I have tried other headphones and had the same problem.

    problem connecting Bose qc 35 ii headphones to Dell XPS 13, win 8.1 64 bit

    Lots of people seem to be having trouble connecting bluetooth headphones to laptops. I have read and completed the troubleshooting steps both with my headphones (which connect easily to my phone) and with the drivers in Win 8.1 64-bit on my Dell XPS 13.
    The last step: the windows pgm compatibility troubleshooter. After accepting Win 8 settings as suggested in the troubleshooter, I observed that the Bose headphones could be paired *and* connected. However, the sound still issued through the laptop's speakers.
    What now?

    Headphone jack not working

    I recently updated to the highly anticipated Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and unfortunately my headphone jack has stopped working. The headphones play fine in any other device, and my Dell XPS 13 laptop speakers work as well
