Windows 10: Headphones cannot connect to laptop

I recently downloaded an update for my windows 11 laptop, as I wanted to get my bluetooth drivers up to date. However, my PLT BB pro 2 headphones cannot connect them to my laptop anymore now. I tried removing them, but it's saying "That didn't work. Make sure your bluetooth devices are still discoverable, then try again.". It also said the same thing when I try to connect. On one hand, my headphones can connect to other devices like my phone, and on the other the laptop can connect to other devices. I want to be able to reconnect the two devices, so any help will be appreciated :

2. How are you trying to connect the headphones to the laptop?

4. Are you using a wired or a wireless Bose headphone?

and try connecting your headphones to the laptop.

Headphone not working when connected to laptop

We understand that your headphone isn’t working when connected to your laptop . We will be glad to help you with this.

To assist you better, do let us know if your speaker works fine when you unplug the headphone.

Sometimes this issue could occur when you don’t set your headphone/speaker to default.

Please follow the steps below to set your headphone as the default device for audio.

1. Right click on the speaker icon on the notification area (right bottom corner of your screen).

2. Click on “playback”

3. Check if the headphone is listed there, if so, right click
on it and choose enable.

4. Highlight the headphone and click on "Set as Default".

Once you are done with the steps, repeat step 1 and select volume mixer. Please make sure that all the volumes are turned up to the highest and check if it works.

Method 1:
Hardware and devices troubleshooter

The built-in hardware and devices troubleshooter can automatically detect and fix most of the incorrect settings and errors that could cause issues with hardware. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if there is any issue with
the display adapter. Refer top these steps:

• Open Control Panel
• Click on Troubleshooting and select the view all option on the left pane.
• Click on Hardware and devices troubleshooter and follow the prompts.

Try method 2, if the issue persist

Method 2: If the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter do not fix
the issue then I would suggest you to uninstall the drivers and reboot the computer to get the updated drivers installed for the headphone. Please follow below mentioned steps:

• Open Control Panel
• Click on Device Manager and select the audio input and output drivers
• Right click on driver that appears after plugging the headphone and click on uninstall
• After uninstalling, unplug the headphone and restart the computer
• Plugging the headphone again and the computer will detect the updates drivers automatically.
  

Now check if the headphones work on the computer or not.
