Windows 10: Headphones option not showing

Hey, my laptop is detecting my airpods pro as headset and not headphones, which makes the audio very bad. I cant switch to headphones again becuase the headphones option is not showing in my playback tap. can someone help me.thanks.

Headphones Option is not showing in Playback Device

I understand the inconvenience you are facing currently.

I would appreciate if you can provide us the following information to help us understand the issue better.

• Did you check if the headphone works when connected to another jack port?
• Did you check if the headphone works when connected to another device?

As of now, I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if that resolves the issue.

Method 1: Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps below, and check if the issue is resolved.

• Type Troubleshooting in the search box next to
  Start button, and select the top most search result.
• Click on View all from left side panel of the screen.
• Select Hardware and Devices, click on
  Advanced option, and check Apply repairs automatically
  option.
• Follow the on screen instructions.

Method 2: If the issue persist, uninstall headphone driver by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + R, type devmgmt.msc
  in the run prompt.
• Expand the Audio inputs and outputs option, right-click on the
  headphone driver.
• Click Uninstall option, and
  Restart the PC to automatically re-install the headphone driver.

Headphones do not show up when Realtek is installed

OK, so this happened to me on my laptop. It wanted to use the realtek drivers no matter what. Let me show you what to do.
Step 1. Open the start menu and type 'Device Manager' in the search bar. Click on the result.

Step 2.

You'll see this window appear.

Step 3.

Expand the 'Sound , video and game controllers' category.

Step 4. Find 'Realtek High Definition Audio' in the list, then right click it and select Properties.

Step 5.

Click on the 'Driver' tab near the top of the window.

Step 6.

Now click on the button that says 'Roll back driver'.
If the button is dimmed, make sure your Realtek drivers are currently installed.

Step 6. If you did it correctly, the system should ask you to restart to finish. If it does then you finished the tutorial correctly!
Once restarted, Open device manager again using step 1. Expand the 'sound, video and game controllers' category again.

Step 7. If it says 'High Definition Audio Device' then you did it right. Here's a pic for example purposes:

 

bluetooth headphones

setting up win10 Bluetooth and my Bluetooth headphones work fine ,but every time I reconnect the headphones I have to delete them from Bluetooth settings and let win10 pickup the headphones again ,before they will pair ,then win10 want to reboot to add the headphones ,I reboot and they work fine ,but next time I plug the headphone in again they will not pair ,don't even get an option to pair till I delete the head phones from the list ,, any suggestions ,, thank
