  1. Headset and speaker share the same device after the latest update

After the latest windows 10 update, my headset and speakers started to share the same device. It's really annoying when your speaker volume is set to 60 % and then you plug in your headset and the volume stays the same. I now have Realtek High Definition Audio installed somehow. How do I fix the issue ?

    Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue Headset and speaker share the same device after the latest update :p

chat headset for chat & game audio through speakers

'normally' , for that sort of thing , IF it shows up as an audio device under 'playback devices', you make your game speakers the 'default' device and your headset the 'default communications device'.

Depends if the chat headset shows up in the list though.

    Bluetooth speaker recognized as headset

    Hi,

I've tried updating devic drivers, uninstall reinstall device drivers, turned on/off audio enhancement, turned on/off exclusivity

My bluetooth fuugo speaker used to be listed as speaker but after the latest windows update, it's now connected as headset. I think this is a problem because now my speaker has a noticeable drop in high volumes. With audio noticeably being lessened in volume
compared to before the update. The same video played on my mobile device has higher volume.

    Sincerely,

    Viet Than
