Windows 10: Headset Bluetooth stuck in audio modus

Hello, I have a Sony WH-100MX5 headset who works fine on other devices. Unfortunately it often does not work in Windows 11 on Videoconf apps such as Teams, Zoom etc. The key issue is that the bluetooth setting for the headset is stuck on the "audio" protocol and not on "audio, voice". When it is on "audio, voice" it works fine. How do I change this setting? Often I was able to change it when multiple times swithching on/off the device,but even that does not work anymore.

Bluetooth Headset turns off every 10 minutes

Bluetooth headset doesn't get detected as audio device automatically

I've got the headphones paired via Bluetooth but when clicking on the sound icon in systray there's no option to quick switch.

To get audio through the headset I have to go to Devices and Printers, right-click the headset icon, select Control, then I get the following window:





I then have to choose Connect.

Only then does the option to switch audio appear in the sound pop-up





I'm not sure what is required to get the headphones detected automatically - is it a limitation of the headset or my Bluetooth dongle?
