Windows 10: Headset is used in parallel as audio and mic

I updated my drivers lately and started to get problems with my earphones.So I have been using Airpods Pro 2 for some time and it worked perfectly. Best possible audio, and usage of microphone in calls without any workarounds. After updating it appeared, that It slowly decides how to use the device. Basically what I see is it connects i see "Connected" under the device, and after 15 seconds or later appears "Connected audio", so just after that sound can go through earbuds. So I have been using Airpods Pro 2 for some time and it worked perfectly. Best possible audio, and usage of microphone in calls without any workarounds. After updating it appeared, that

2. Microphone part doesn't work anymore. Before update it used to be showing "Connected audio, mic", now no mic and no option.
   

I now can't roll back drivers, i did it several times and nothing changed.

What i see in device manager:

1. I can see all audio inputs and outputs (including hidden).
   
   1. Headphones (Airpods Pro) is currently active
      
   2. Headset (Airpods Pro Hands-Free) is hidden and inactive, but exists
      

In my understanding they should both be active at the same time for it to be audio and mic simultaneously, but I can't find how to make it work.

Sometimes my device is connected to hands-free and I see "Connected mic". Audio is not stereo and really bad, and i can't reroute it to stereo.

Could I actually do something to do it in some way? Maybe there is some other driver that I need to reinstall or something or I can somehow manually enable both stereo and headset?

To be clear, when I was using earpods before all this I haven't seen Hands-free anywhere, it all felt like I can just use mic not in hands-free mode, like just a headset, or system did it for me, but i didn't experience any audio quality changes.

 

Laptop not splitting headset mic & audio?

Simple version. When i plug in my headset to my laptop windows10 is not splitting it into one output and one input.

I fixed this years back by setting the popup box 'whats plugged in' from headphone to headset. Then it split the audio and mic. However i had to reinstall windows and now when i select headset it just mutes my laptop mic and audio manager just shows the one mic, but two audio outputs.

It was working before the reset and i have tested the headset on another computer and it is working find.
So far i tried device manage audio driver install, for both Realtek driver and High Definition driver but either resolve the issue.

Any suggestions why windows would pick up one and not the other?

I currently have it set to headphone plugged in so that i can use my laptop mic, but ive been told i sound really bad *Sad

What is the brand/model of the headset mic combo?

What front panel audio jack(s) do you have? Some are only mic or only headset, some can be either mic or headset whichever is plugged in and some are combination headset/mic.
