Windows 10: Headset mic won’t work on new pc whatever I do

So i just built my first pc yesterday, installed the correct drivers from the mobo’s website and when i plug in my headset a realtek popup appears which lets me select if the device i just plugged in was a “headphone” or a “mic in” but never both. I tried using my mic when I select “headphones” in the popup but windows just won’t detect my mic, it doesn’t appear in “manage sound devices”. But when i select the “mic in” option in the pop up windows detect my mic and my mic only, no sound comes through the earpieces and even though it detects my mic, no sound goes through the mic. I tried “set up a microphone” where you have to read a statement and the pc would listen but i can never pass it the audio won’t go through my mic. Now, i tried reinstalling the drivers, doing the microphone privacy settings and microphone advanced settings and have no idea what to do next. Please help me im so tired of this, i just want it to work.

Bluetooth headset mic does not work with newly built PC

Recently built a PC with ASRock B550 ITX/ac motherboard. I am using a wireless bluetooth headphones (similar to airpods).

The sound is great, however, I am unable to record anything through the built-in mic.

System: Windows 10

Problem: Connect a bluetooth headset to the PC; The sound works; the mic doesn't work seemingly

Things I have tried:

1. Uninstalling and reinstalling Realtek sound drivers
   
2. uninstalling and reinstalling bluetooth drivers
   
3. Using the same headphones on a laptop - both sound and mic work as expected
   
4. Using another pair of bluetooth headphones on my desktop PC - same issue persists
   

Above are the main solutions I was able to find online, however, if anyone here has other suggestions, that would be great!

What is the brand/model of the headset mic combo?

What front panel audio jack(s) do you have? Some are only mic or only headset, some can be either mic or headset whichever is plugged in and some are combination headset/mic.

 

Headset Mic Not Working

I really need some help.

I have a Cloud Stinger HyperX headset.

So the Microphone was working fine for many months then a few weeks ago it just stopped.

It does not show up on my list of Recording Devices anymore.

The only Mic I have is the one built in the computer.

I have tried multiple solutions and nothing works. Any suggestions?
