Windows 10: Headset Microphone not detected when plugged into onboard audio jack

I recently did a completely fresh install of windows on my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55, and I noticed that Windows does not pick up my Logitech headset microphone when the headset is plugged directly into the on board audio jack. Looking through the device manager and in sound settings the headset just shows up as headphones only with no mic.However if i plug the headset into a USB-C to 3.5mm audio jack suddenly Windows can see and use the microphone on the headset. So far ive run sfc /scannow, DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth, DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth and DISM /Online /Cleanu

Computer Not Detecting My Headset Microphone

I have gotten a new computer recently, and i noticed that when i test my microphone it isn't receiving my voice. It does play audio in my headset but doesn't detect my microphone at all. I have tried using other jacks but it doesn't detect it either. Also
the jack for the headset has the microphone and the audio combined into one, so i can't plug them into separate jacks. I have tried my other headset that have separated jacks for the audio and the microphone, and plugged them into the designated jacks, but
it doesn't detect my voice from that headset either.

 

Laptop not detecting headset microphone.

Recently, I bought a headset with a microphone attached for use when chatting with friends, the headphones are detected by my laptop and work perfectly fine however, the microphone doesn't work and isn't detected at all, i have followed all the steps I could find to try correcting this including checking microphone permissions, checking the device manager which does show the headset as an audio input and output, and also tried using the audio input troubleshooter which, when the headset is plugged in and mic is folded down to unmute it, thinks there's just nothing plugged into the audio jack as well. I even bought a USB-C to 3.5mm adaptor (which as far as I know has a DAC in it) to try and bypass the built-in audio jack but that also isn't detected. The laptop being used is a Dell G15 5511 with a HyperX Cloud Stinger headset.

 

My headset microphone is not being detected

1 year ago I bought a HyperX Cloud headset. Everything worked pretty well on my Laptop, until I built a new PC this year. The front panel has one headphone and one microphone jack, but the headset has only one plug for both the microphone that comes with
it and the audio player itself. When I plug it into the mic jack, it plays no sound. When it's plugged into the headphone jack, it can play sounds, but the microphone connected to my headset isn't detected by the system. I tried to fix it myself, and noticed
that when an app plays audio, the mic can detect it, but when I speak to the mic, it cannot. It's like the system is treating the audio player as if it was my microphone. Can someone pls help me?
