Windows 10: Headset Microphone sounds muffled when used on PC

So my Mic has been having this issue for over a month now where it will sound muffled when trying to use it to talk to people and I don't know what to do. I've tried updating drivers and looking up fixes for the problem but nothing works I am using the Turtle Beach Recon 70's...please help.

Since some days my headset sounds muffled. Mostly voices are muffled i can hear music just fine. If i don´t plug in the headset all the way, i can hear perfectly fine but then my mic doesn´t work. I have an other headset (not as good) where everything works perfectly fine. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

In order to help you resolve issues with the microphone on headset, we suggest the you run the built in troubleshooter in you PC. Here are the steps:

• In the Search Box, type Troubleshoot and press
  Enter.
• Look for and select Recording Audio, and press Run the troubleshooter.
• Follow the onscreen instructions.

My microphone audio is muffled on Chrome browser.

My microphone audio is muffled on Chrome browser. I am using a Logitech headset and an HP Elite Desk PC. Troubleshooting steps done so far are as follows: Restarting pc, reformatting, reinstall audio drivers using HP Support Assistant, and under recording tab on sound untick allow app to take exclusive control and give exclusive mode. Everything did not work, I tried another headset a JBL one and still the same thing.
