Windows 10: Headset muffled when playing call of duty

I use the xbox wireless headset for gaming on my laptop. But when i play call of duty, the headset become to muffle. It looks like the sound come from someone who calls me. Also the music on the background becomes like a phonecall audio.When i close call of duty the sound is normal again. I thougt maybe it is because of a game the runs the audio, but when i play minecaft the sound is normal, even with music on the background. Ive tried to update the driver, but the driver is uptodate. I saw on a response by someone with the same problems that the bandwidth must be set on 16bitt, 48000hz dvd q

muffled sound on headset

Since some days my headset sounds muffled. Mostly voices are muffled i can hear music just fine. If i don´t plug in the headset all the way, i can hear perfectly fine but then my mic doesn´t work. I have an other headset (not as good) where everything works perfectly fine. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

In order to help you resolve issues with the microphone on headset, we suggest the you run the built in troubleshooter in you PC. Here are the steps:

• In the Search Box, type Troubleshoot and press
  Enter.
• Look for and select Recording Audio, and press Run the troubleshooter.
• Follow the onscreen instructions.
