    Headset not connecting any way nor showing up anywhere


    I've been using my headset JBL Live650BTNC for a while now, and always noticed that it never showed up anywhere. Not in the bluetooth section, when trying to connect bluetooth wise. Not when i had it plugged in via a cord never really. But the sound worked so it didn't bother me.


    But recently i tried using the built in microphone, and noticed it didn't work. So i tried fixing it. I was suggested to use device manager, and reconnect my headset, but it wasn't there. Then i got sound issues. In the bottom right corner of my laptop there appeared a small red X next to the sound, and when troubleshooting it asked me to select my headphones, which weren't there. All the while i could still use every feature of my headset on my phone.


    Any advice? i feel like i have tried everything

    I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue Headset not connecting any way nor showing up anywhere :p

    To better assist you with your concern, I'd like to know the following:

    • Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:
    • Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
    • Click OK.
    • What is the make and model of your headset and Bluetooth dongle?

    Meanwhile, we suggest that you perform the steps posted on this article
    to resolve Bluetooth connection issues in Windows 10.

    Windows 7 Bluetooth Headset Connectivity

    Having issues playing music through a blue tooth headset on my laptop. The headset connects and works fine with my Iphone.

    Things I have done:

    Searched and connected via blue tooth devices. (after disconnecting from my Iphone)

    Shows on my devices and printers list.

    Double click to get to properties but "Listen to music" link does not do anything.

    Ran the troubleshooting for hardware and sounds.

    Any other suggestions please.
