Windows 10: headset not working after disconnecting aux cables to clean PC

So today I decided to clean my pc, I disconnected all the cable. Cleaned and put all back on, in the same exact places. Now I I can't hear anything from my headset even the mic isn't working.
this happened twice before and in all same exact conditions.
What can I do?

problem with laptop's audio while connected to aux cable

Hi Tom,

In order for us to identify what triggers your laptop's issue when an aux cable is connected, we would like to gather more information:

• Have you tried connecting the aux cable and the headset to a different computer?
  
• Have you also tried connecting a different aux cable and headset to your laptop?
• Does the brief sound from the laptop only play upon inserting the aux cable and headset?

pc not accepting aux cable

hello, I am having trouble with my pc (I have a Toshiba corei7, windows 10). it is not recognizing my external speakers. when I plug an earphone it works and I can listen well but when I plug an aux cable to play music through my external speakers there
is no sound. I know it detected it because it there is no sound coming from the laptop speakers(which also work fine when the aux is not connected). and I don't think the aux has a problem either because it works fine on another pc. can anyone please tell
me how to fix this
