Windows 10: Headset not working when plugged in

So i have this problem with my headset, when i plug it in, the sound does not transfer to my headphone, i have confirmed that this is my devices fault and not my headset, what i do to counter this is by going into About Your Pc, System Info, Advanced system settings, hardware and press installation settings, and switch it to the other one that is not chose , and restart my device, with my headset plugged in, only then will it work, but if I unplug it and re-plug it, it does not work

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

Whenever i plug earphone during a call, its not working, after that as i cut the call n plug it again, then it works perfectly, then i can use it during call n also listen music

I would suggest you to try the steps below and get back to us with the status to assist you further.

• Switch your phone off and on. After this operation, you may need to re-adjust the volume.
• Check that your compatible wired headset is properly plugged into your phone.
• Connect your headset to another phone to check if the issue is with the headset or the phone.

Headset not working

We need to know if the issue is with the computer or headset. To isolate the concern, provide us the following information:

• Are you using a laptop or a desktop?
• If you're using a laptop, does the built-in speaker works?
• Are you using a USB headset or does your headset has a 3.5mm jack?
• Do your headset works on other devices?
• Have you tried using other headsets on your computer?
