Windows 10: headset problem

Discus and support headset problem in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; For the past week only the right side of my headset has been working, and thus NO MATTER WHICH COMPUTER I PUT IT IN.I could only find answers that say...     For the past week only the right side of my headset has been working, and thus NO MATTER WHICH COMPUTER I PUT IT IN.I could only find answers that say to check things on the PC side, however, as I have already mentionned, in my case, it's a headset side issue and not a pc side issue.I use them on my school's computers in every class I go in, to listen to music on yt music, which helps me concentrate on my school work, I have ADHD so anything that helps me focus helps a lot. I also use them on my own computer at home.Before this monday morning, both side works perfectly.Sometimes when I touch

    Good surround sound headset

    I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue headset problem :p

    Hi Ricky,

    We'd like to verify a few information regarding the problem you encountered with your USB headset.

    • Is this the first time you're trying to install or connect your USB headset to your computer?
    • Have you tried connecting it to a different USB port on your computer?
    • When you connected your headset, did the PC recognize it?

    To help us isolate and address the issue, we suggest that you perform the hardware troubleshooter. Follow the steps below:

    • Open your Control Panel.
    • Under System and Security, click Find and fix problems.
    • On the left pane, click View all.
    • Click Hardware and Devices.
    • Hit Next and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Update us with the result so we can further assist you.

    Headset not working

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    For further clarity on the issue and to guide you accordingly, respond to the questions listed below:



    1. What is the make and model of the headset?
    2. What is the make and model of the PC?
    3. Have you tried using the headset in a different audio port?
    4. Have you tried using the headset on a different PC?


    As you have mentioned you have tried some steps, may I know, what are the troubleshooting steps you have tried?



    Also, if you are using a headset with built in Microphone, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below.



    1. Right click on the Speaker icon on the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
    2. Click on Sounds and under
      Recording
      Devices select the Microphone.
    3. Click on Properties and select
      Listen
      tab.
    4. Check the box Listen to this device.
    5. Now select the Default Playback Device under
      Playback through this device menu.
    6. Click on Apply and then OK.
    7. Click on OK.
