Windows 10: Headset Prompt not showing up in notifications once I plug my headset in. Windows 11

So, I just very recently have not been able to select "Headset" in the notifications prompt. So that means I can only choose between a Microphone, Or headphones, which has been really annoying recently. I'd like to get this fixed ASAP.

• Did you already try to plugged the headset into another port which indicating the mic and headset icon?
• When did the issue first occur?
• Did you already try to use another headset to other devices and check if you are encountering the same issue?

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

Headset mic showing as not plugged in.

So, recently, my microphone stopped working on the computer. Strangely enough, I had sound on the headset, but its built-in microphone doesn't function at all on the computer. I know the microphone isn't the problem because both the microphone and the
speakers work on all my other devices. When I check my sound settings, it shows as "Not plugged in." I've restarted my computer several times, switched the plugs on the extension cord between sound and sound + microphone, and looked online to find not many
helpful solutions. I don't have another headset to try right now, so I can't see if this is a problem with all headsets or just this one.

I'm running Windows 10, and the headset that I'm using is the Razer Kraken.
