Windows 10: Headset won’t work on PC

I plugged in my headset to my pc, but I can’t hear anything, but my friends in Discord can still hear me. I tried switching the head phone jack to a different port but that just reversed the problem. I can hear them but they can’t hear me. I went into sound control panel and realized that my headset doesn’t even appear there. All that’s under playback is speakers, and I don’t even have speakers. And all that’s under recording is microphone, not headset. Even if I turn on show disconnected devices. I’ve reset the drivers, I’ve done everything. Plz help

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue
