Windows 10: HEIC Files not opening despite both Codecs

Discus and support HEIC Files not opening despite both Codecs in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I have installed Windows 10, downloaded the HEVC and HEIC APPXbundle files, installed using Powershell but I still cannot view HEIC files in File...     HEIC Files not opening despite both Codecs


    I have installed Windows 10, downloaded the HEVC and HEIC APPXbundle files, installed using Powershell but I still cannot view HEIC files in File Explorer or in Photos or Photo Viewer. If I install CopyTRANS it works but that isn't free for Business.Are there any other tricks or is the codec pack just bugged? HEIC has been around for YEARS.Jeff

    HI,

    Since the other programs can open the .heic image files I think it is not a codec issue anymore.

    The old program might not really support the .heic file extension.

    I can only suggest that open the .heic image files with Photos app then save the Image as .jpeg or png.

    Need to open file extension HEIC and png.

    I can't open an image with a file extension .HEIC and .png. Is there a codecs pack that I can download for Windows 10?
