hello guys, i have a Nokia Lumia 635 and i need to unlock it , its locked to O2 network, i was told the manufacturer can help me unlock it. the question is how do i go about it ?. any help will be appreciated

I have a Lumia 635 its locked to O2 I have got an unlock code from O2. I put in a working Sim the phone should detect invalid Sim then it can be unlocked. When I put the Sim in it does not say Sim not detected so I don't get unlock screen. Do
I need a Nokia code?

The phone was given to me by a relative and its out of warranty. I have 2 choices use O2 or get it unlocked bysome guys who have a shop in my local market. Thanks for your advice. Kevin
