Windows 10: Hello I am having internet connection issues.

My issues started when i had to factory reset my laptop because i had a malware that stole my login infos and hacked my accounts which also led to a rambler account taking over my former microsoft account which no longer exists. Anyway, i factory reset my laptop and set everything up but i notice that my internet connection is weirdly unstable. The signal keeps dying and whenever i would test the speed of my internet it would say that i had a good internet speed. I've never had an internet issue with this laptop even though i have my laptop set up upstairs and the router is downstairs. I tried

Lumia troubleshooting and repair. After each step, check to see if your issue has been fixed.

• For issues connecting to Wi-Fi networks, select Connectivity > My phone has problems connecting to Wi-Fi networks, then follow the suggested steps provided.

• And for issues connecting to the internet using a mobile data connection, select

Set Internet Explorer as default browser

I suggest you to set Internet Explorer as default web browser and restart the computer and see if it helps.

Disable Proxy

Sometimes using proxy to connect to the internet may cause issues while connecting to the network.

Follow the steps below to disable proxy:

• Press “Windows Key” + “R”.
• Type “inetcpl.cpl”.
• Go to Connection.
• Click on LAN Settings.
• Check the box which says Automatically detect settings.
• Uncheck the box under Proxy server.

Run Internet Connection Troubleshooter

Though you are able to use internet, there could be some problems or some settings which could have stopped Windows services to connect to the internet.

I suggest you to run the Internet connection troubleshooter to fix such issues, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R
• Type Control
• Click on Troubleshooting
• Click on Connect to the internet
• Click on Next and follow the On-screen instructions
