    Connecting a USB-c SSD to a USB-c Hub

    Hi, I'm Anvar, I'd be glad to help you today on this

    since it works when connected to direct USB-C port, it is a problem related to the HUB, the hub seems not providing enough power required for the SSD and Enclosure,

    suggested to try with a powered hub if you are using an unpowered USB Hub

    Using USB hub for more USB ports on Windows tablet?

    keyboard + mouse + USB drive (as long as it doesn't get warm when plugged in) should be okay. They don't require much power.

    If the USB drive gets warm (probably has SSD chips), I don't think I'd use it unless the hub is powered.

    Yes. A USB hub plugged into your PC directly and powered from the USB port will draw even MORE power than it is already.

    Besides, USB draw on a current PC is neglegible when it comes to PSU power... 500ma.. is nothing.

    You need a WALL POWERED USB hub.
