Windows 10: hello I have issues with Phone Link about microphone.

My wired headphones microphone is not working on just Phone Link calls. But it is working on any app except Phone Link. But when I select realtek microphone for default, it is working on calls. How can I solve this.

Here are the possible reasons why you're getting an error "The microphone did not pick anything up" when using it:

• Incorrect settings (microphone is not set as default device)
  
• Corrupted or outdated driver
  
• Faulty device
  

For us to isolate the issue, we'd like to know the following:

• Were there any changes made to your computer prior to this issue(e.g. Windows updates)?
  
• Have you tried connecting other microphone to your computer?
  
• Have you tried connecting the microphone to the other computer?
  

In the meantime, we suggest running the Recording Audio Troubleshooter to find and repair problems with recording sound. We also suggest checking if your microphone is set as your default recording device. For troubleshooting steps, please see

  Troubleshooter.

How can I connect my microphone so I can use the Phone link for a natural phone conversation? I can hear the at the other end of the call but they cannot hear me.

Thanks for your feedback, To connect your microphone and use the Phone link for a natural phone conversation, please follow these steps:



1. Make sure your microphone is properly connected to your computer.



2. Open the Settings app on your Windows 11 PC.



3. Click on the "System" option.



4. Click on the "Sound" option.



5. Under the "Input" section, select your microphone from the list of available devices.



6. Test your microphone by speaking into it and checking the input level indicator.



7. Once your microphone is working properly, try making a call using the Phone link feature again.



Since this function is implemented through Bluetooth, you also need to find your phone in the Bluetooth and other device options set, delete it, pair it again in the mobile link application, and confirm that all permissions have been enabled on the phone.
