I bought a copy of Gears of War for my Windows 11 system. The game is a Gears of War disc copy for PC OS Windows XP & Windows Vista. I have Windows 11. I tried to launch with compatibility mode for Windows XP and Windows Vista. The game does not work with those compatibility modes and gives me an error to reinstall the game. I also tried to launch the game with Windows 7 and Windows 8 compatibility modes and I get a message to insert the correct disc in my disc drive.Can someone help me???Thank you for your time...:-

i'm currently using wins 10. and, i want to download my old gears of war for pc i bought via microsoft game site. but, where is the game now? and, can i play it? i only see the latest gears of war special edition. i wanna play the game that i bought. and,
what happen to gfw? what about the other games that i bought?

 

Gears of War 4 For PC will not start

Hello Mithin,

I tried following the clean boot procedure and am still facing the same issue.

There is no error message, I just see a new window with the gears of war 4 logo, and then the window dismisses before I can take any additional actions.

I do not have any additional security outside of Windows Defender

I just got a brand new PC, the game has played fine on my old desktop, and on my laptop, but not on my new PC

As far as changes, I have put a new graphics card in my PC a GTX 1060 6gb card, however, I have made sure to update all of the drivers to their current version and Forza Horizon 4 is running with no issue.

I tried to delete Gears of War and Redownload it, but am still facing this issue.
