Hello! I moved my important files to my Desktop but unfortunately, when I reopened my laptop, these files are all gone. How do I restore these lost files?

Move Applications Between Virtual Desktops

Try the following steps to move applications between virtual desktops.

• 
  Right-click on the program you want to move.
  
• 
  Select “Move to”, and then select the desktop number to which you want to move the program.
  

You can also, drag and drop the app of your choice to the desktop you want to add.

windows 10 deleted my desktop files

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

 

Groove Will Not Import Files

I have mp3 files in a folder, call it "vmusic".

If I navigate to the folder using explorer, and double click a file, then Groove opens up and plays the file.

If I add the "vmusic" folder to the list of folders for Groove to search, it fails to import the files. I cannot see them in Groove.

I tried closing and reopening Groove. I tried deleting the folder from the search list and adding it back. I tried moving the files to a different folder.

Groove has completely stopped detecting files and adding them to its song list.

I guess it is back to iTunes for me for playing and purchasing music unless someone can help me resolve this issue.
