Windows 10: Hello, I'm experiencing BSOD when updating my gpu driver in Windows 11. Any fix for this?

As you can see in the first image it says "video dxgkrnl fatal error". This usually happens when I try to install/update my Nvidia Drivers. The moment I install or update my Nvidia drivers, BSOD will appear at log in screen or whenever I type my password then BSOD will appear. I'm currently using Nvidia Game Ready driver 531.61 when the latest BSOD happened. The dump file says it's caused by watchdog.sys. Windows 11 BSOD During Setup on M.2 SSD

I think I found the fix. As mentioned, I did upgrade my PSU, but I kind of doubt that was the actual fix. I did find a setting in the UEFI options though which was set to PEG for PCIe graphics instead of IGD for integrated graphics. I can't say for sure if I changed that accidentally at some point, or if it was always PEG. I also can't say for sure which of the two fixed it for me, but I can confirm I have Windows 11 installed from the same thumb drive, to my Kingston KC3000 1TB M.2 SSD. I have run Windows update and installed a few programs. Zero BSOD.

• Installed a new PSU. My old power supply was 11 years old. Upgraded to a Corsair RM650x.
  
• Checked UEFI settings and in the Graphics settings, I found an option for IGD/PEG which was set to PEG. I changed this to IGD.
  

Hope this helps! Thanks everyone for the input. Not sure why the PEG setting might cause the BSOD, but perhaps because the M.2 share the PCIe bus, whereas the SATA SSD do not?

 

Windows 7 wont install drivers

i dont think anyone here understands what your asking either when its nearly a 90% english dominated Tech forum.
Step 1
reinstall windows from scratch
Step 2
install all drivers from the cd that came with the god damn motherboard *common sense*
Step 3
update windows
Step 4
install misc etc crap like flash java etc etc
Step 5
Install GPU drivers
Step 6
go back to using your pc without issue.

 

NVIDIA Adds Windows 8 to GeForce Driver Update Stack

AMD may have been the first to be out with drivers for its Radeon GPUs that are optimized for Windows 8 (WDDM 1.2), but NVIDIA went a step ahead of "special-releases" for its GeForce drivers, and added Windows 8 to its update stack, meaning that Windows 8 will feature in the list of operating systems to pick from, to download drivers. NVIDIA will constantly update these drivers along with mainline releases for Windows 7/Vista and XP. The latest such driver is 296.17. This driver supports GeForce and Quadro GPUs, and according to NVIDIA, is a quick-update over 295.73 WHQL, with the addition of performance optimization for Blacklight: Retribution.
