  1. Hello, im having some problems with my touch pad drivers, as they are gone and no where to...

Hello, I’m having some problems with my Lenovo Thinkbook 14s Yoga ITL. I use it for work and when I download an app, the battery life seems to decrease as it shows in settings. So I decided to use what I thought a safe driver updater called, driver booster. It showed I had 24 or 29 drivers that needed to be “updated”. So, I clicked install and waited a bit, I restarted my laptop and for some reason the track pad won’t seem to work. I went on many websites scavenging to find the answer to why it wasn’t working, looked through the settings app, and even went on the Microsoft website to see if so

    :)

  2. Touch pad not working. I have tried everything.

    Hello.

    I have a semi new Lenovo laptop ThinkPad T450s with a new hard drive. After installing Windows 10 the touch pad doesn't work. It did however work before. I have spent all day trying to read up on how I may solve this to no avail. Therefore I am writing my own help request. Here is a list of things I have tried;

    Not Fn + F5
    tried updating drives
    not in device manager
not in control panel - mouse properties doesn't give me touch pad option (picture 2) nor is it anywhere in the control panel under deivices to be found
    Activated in BIOS
I tried taking some steps I read online in the Registration Entries but files seemed to be missing (perhaps here is the problem) but only ended up making my USB mouse to stop working so that didn't do the trick.
Synaptic pointing device is under View and show hidden devices.
Not sure what to do about the yellow exclamation mark but it says error "This device is not present, is not working properly or does not have all its drivers installed. (Code 24)"
    First picture.

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing.

From what you have mentioned, I would suggest you to try these steps to see if it resolves the issue

    Method 1: Hardware Troubleshoot

Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your touch pad.

I would suggest you to install the latest available drivers on manufacturer's website in compatibility mode.

Follow the steps below on how to install driver in compatibility mode:

      1. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

      2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

      3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

      4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

      5. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.
