Windows 10: Hello, my name is Ava and I cannot download twitch.

I have Windows 11 and can't download twitch. When I look up twitch in the search bar it comes up with the download link, but there is no download button for some odd reason. I really hate this because I am currently in the process of starting my streaming career but cannot because everything I try is not working. I have restarted the computer multiple times. Nothing. Looked up tutorials. Nothing. Tried calling a number for Microsoft and it took me here. I really need to figure out what is wrong and fast. Also, I got this PC three days ago. I thought I should mention that. Please respond soon

Downloaded files disappear


When you download a file through any browser, there's an option somewhere to 'Open Containing Folder.'

In Windows, to find a file you have downloaded...

1. Open your personal folder by clicking the Start button and then clicking your user name at the top of the Start menu's right pane.
   
2. Double-click one of the following folders:
   
   • Downloads
     
   • Documents
     
   • Pictures
     
   • Videos
     
   • Music

If you do not see the file you are looking for, but know its file name, you can search for it by following these steps:
To search for a file you have downloaded...

1. Click the Start button
   
2. Type all or part of the file name into the Search box.
   The file you are looking for will appear in the list of results.

 

I have an Invisible Twitch icon on my Taskbar

Hi Snugg, I'm Graeme, an independent adviser here to help.

It's possible there's a script running at Startup from the old Twitch installation, so try this:

- Right-click the taskbar and choose Task Manager, or press Control+Shift+Escape.

- Click More Details

- Under the Startup tab, see if there's any Twitch related startup tasks.

- Disable it if it's there, then reboot and see if the problem is still there.

Otherwise, see if Twitch has installed a service that you can disable:

- Click Start and search for "services.msc"

- Select the first result, and look in the Services list for anything related to Twitch.

- Try right-clicking and disabling any Twitch services you find, then reboot and see if the problem persists.
