Windows 10: Hello pin is preventing me from being able to set up my new laptop

I just purchased a gateway laptop with windows 10. During setup it asked me to create a pin. I clicked on this option, as it was the only option available and it said just a moment. It said that for 6 hours. So tried to restart and it just keeps doing the same thing. I have read other peoples reasoning for not wanting to set up a pin, but had no reservations, but my computer cannot move past this and since there is no option to skip i require help

• Open Settings.
• Select Accounts.
• Click Sign-in options.
• Click the Add button for the PIN and set your PIN.
• Do the same for the Windows Hello.

Unable to create Windows Hello PIN

Hi,

I have just bought second hand Lenovo T470s Laptop, which reset to factory setting (I believe). Now, I am trying to setup the Hello PIN first time and getting the following error:

"we weren't able to set up your pin. you can try again, or skip this step and set up a pin later."

Any suggestion on how to solve this??

No longer able to use PIN on laptop

Hi.

I am able to use my PIN on my tablet and my phone. However, I can no longer use my PIN when signing in on my laptop. It has been many months since I was last able to use it on my laptop. When I select the PIN option now on my laptop, it says I am unable
to log in this way due to your setup settings. I am unsure what steps to be able to use my PIN again on my laptop. I really, really do not want to use a new PIN if at all possible
