Unable to determine what is preventing the UPdate from installing: Can't find the error code that is provided with the failure notice.

OS; Windows 7 SP1 x64, all updates completed except this one.

 

Windows Update Error Code 8024200D

My system repeatedly this week has shown this error message after I follow the Windows prompt to install 2 important updates "Some updates were not installed; Failed 2 updates; Error code 8024200D". Can anyone help?

The monthly security update has failed every time it's been tried since at least March 2019. The error code is 8024200D and when I click on Get help with this error code the list does not include this error code. Surely someone somewhere in Microsoft must
know what causes this error code message. In case there was a problem with antivirus software preventing something from being installed, I uninstalled my Kaspersky Total Security AV software, but that changed nothing about the update failing with this error
code.
