Windows 10: hello so i have a question about the windows security app

so hi so to put this short and simple the app detected 3 of my files as files affected with severe malware the problem is from where 1 and 2 the files were not seen as a threat before so this is a surprise and 3 i did run a .exe from github yeah but i did test it using both windows security and virustotal which both said the file is safe also 4 my laptop didnt experience anything unusal it didnt slow down the storage was the same and everything was normal for a trojan that supposedly was there for about 4 days

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

suggest best internet security/antivirus for windows 7

I m using HP envy 3090nr laptop having windows 7 home premium.

I was using norton internet security previously which was very good, no virus problem so far.

But i want to know any other internet security which is better or similar and free?

Give your suggestions for best free as well as best paid internet security.

Also give your opinion for microsoft security essentials.
