    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

    Hello! How to run program?

    Hello Andrew,
    I am Jaspreet Singh.
    If the app is installed right click on it and click on properties.
    Click on compatible tab and then tick the option that says "run this program in compatibility mode for"
    Try various windows listed there. Start with windows 8 then apply the settings if it does not work go down to windows 7 and older in steps.

    Hi Deepika,

    I am only using Microsoft Essentials, no other third party anti-virus software.

    I have run disk clean up as suggested and run a clean boot. I still receive the exact same error message as shown in the image I posted earlier.

    I have search my computer and there are no files called tobii anywhere on the computer. I have tried to uninstall any programs called tobii and none exist. I have even downloaded uninstaller software and they detected no programs called tobii.

    If the Windows update fails because of a program that it tells you must be uninstalled, it should it least point to the location of the program or give you some other means of determining the issue.

    I have also run Microsoft Security Scanner as suggested by Sachin, but it did not detect and infected files.

    Any other suggestions?
