Using OBS to record TV Programs from my screen

I use OBS Studio to record TV streaming sports on Comcast. However the screen capture only works on certain steaming channels but not others, for some reason. I fail to understand why some channels work and not others on the same video streaming app. Would it be because some streaming channels activate digital rights capability but others do not? One of the OBS thread suggested re-installing OBS version from 2019 which solved the problem in his ability to record BBC stream programs: "https://www.tenforums.com/software-apps/170961-problem-using-obs-record-uk-television-my-screen.html". Better Video Recording Software: ManyCam vs. OBS Studio

Trying to decide between ManyCam and OBS Studio for a video recording software. What are the pros and cons of each? Recommendations? Some research seems to indicate that OBS is the more popular choice. Opinions? Thanks in advance!

 

Can't screen record with snipping tool.

When I try to screen record with the snipping tool, it loads for a couple of seconds and then denies me. Any suggestions?
