Hello, last week we had a problem where one device of our company was infected, and the antivirus did nothing because the malware installed another antivirus that disabled defender. Is it any solution or directive to avoid this?

If your computer is linked and managed by your work or organization there is a chance the company using their own enterprise antivirus end points to protect the systems connected to their network , only your organization can push 3rd party antivirus installation to your device without your confirmation.

If the computer is not managed by organization, kindly do below steps to uninstall all security programs or antivirus once it is done Windows defender will get activated up on restart

Type appwiz.CPL in windows search and open it and look for any antivirus programs in the list, select the same and uninstall.

if that doesn't work kindly share a screenshot of the antivirus got installed

First of all, thank you for answering.

The device is managed using active directori, and we manage devices' health via microsoft endpoint. Thanks to endpoint we noticed the malware, but the problem is that we had to intervent manually, and that the malware was doing everithing it wanted because Defender get disabled by the other antivirus it installed

The question is if it is any way to avoid definitively any other antivirus from installing to evade the same problem happening again.
