Windows 10: Help! Account and Microsoft Store are acting weird.

To get to the main issue, the whole story needs to be told.So, I was logging into my account, and when it finally accepted my password, for some reason it said "Windows Preparing..." I dismissed it thinking it was nothing until it finally let me in and everything, quite literally everything was gone like a fresh new account with OTCC Reports and all. I was super confused and frustrated, so I redownloaded everything and recovered my stuff from OneDrive thankfully. Then I restarted my computer and logged in again, and it happened again. This happened for at least 4 tries and then eventually I fo

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

 

Cannot link/add my Microsoft Account to Local Account

Hello Ken,

Im using Win10 Build 1607 with all latest update.

I also run all related troubleshooters:

• Windows Update
• Store Apps (says i have to login in my microsoft account but thats the problem, i can't)
• Microsoft Accounts

No Problem found. Also the suggestions from Microsoft didnt helped.

Yes. When you sign in to the Store with a Microsoft account like in step 5 in Option Two of the tutorial below instead of switching to a Microsoft account you will and stay a local account.
