Windows 10: Help adding school account onto laptop

I've been having trouble trying to add my college email onto my laptop. I have a Surface 5 Laptop. Every time I try to add my school email, I get some error message saying it could not add it for reasons I can't understand. I haven't done much besides constantly trying to add the school email. I don't know what to do.

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Open the Settings App.

Go to Accounts.

Select Access Work or School, is there is a work or school Email listed there?

If that account is listed there, then you should be able to select it and disconnect that account from your PC.

Yes that's where the new account was listed. Any idea how it got there? Perhaps a scripted event (in an email?) Thanks.

Your school will have limited the recovery options available n the Recovery Environment.

Is that a school laptop or your own personal laptop?

If that is your own laptop, where in Windows are you seeing the school account listed?

Open the Settings App.

Go to Accounts.

Select Your Info, is the school Email listed there?

Select Emails and Accounts, is the school Email listed there?

Select Access Work or School, is the school Email listed there?
