Windows 10: Help! Cannot access C: drive on old SSHD

Hi everyone,

My old laptop's motherboard died and I had to get a new laptop. Unfortunately a lot of important data is still on my old SSHD. I've connected it to my new laptop by SSD/HDD caddy, but it only shows me the second partition of the drive, which had some of the media, but noty most important data, which can only be recovered by accessing the user folder.

Does anyone have any advice in a situation like this? is it a lost cause?

c-drive not accessible, access denied

To better understand the issue, we'd like to get the following information:

• How are you trying to access (C Drive?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
• If possible, kindly send us a screenshot of the complete error message you're getting.

Optimising Page File On SSHD C Drive

I am wondering if my page file settings could be improved. I have 16Gbt ram. I have a 240 Gbt sshd C drive with an average of 30 Gbt free and two Hybrid drives (2T, 4T with lots of free space. I have set Windows to manage the page file (screenshot attached). I note that no page file is assigned to my C drive which is the fastest as its a sshd. Windows has only assigned a page file to one of the other Hybrid drives which has 469 Gbt free. Should I manually configure the page file on my C drive or leave things as they are? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Windows 10 c: drive not accessable

I was trying to solve a problem I had with accessing several folders, following the steps on a web site, and

I got a message that the owner of the C; drive was being erased!

Since then I have no access to the c: drive, I keep getting "access denied", "you don't have the proper permissions", "you don't have read permission", and when I finally got into Safe Mode and clicked on C:/properties/security, it said "Owner: Unable to
display current owner".

I've tried more methods than I want to list trying to get ownership of the C: drive and set permissions back where they belong.

Where is the c: drive owner entered? Would I need to RegEdit? If so, please provide step by step because all I know about RegEdit is that it's dangerous to mess with.....

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
