Windows 10: HELP! Cant boot on original drive after installing windows on a second SSD

So I have a M.2 NVMe Disk 1 with Windows that I always used and now I set up a USB Pen with media creation tool and installed windows on a empty SSD disk 0.I should have 2 boot drives now, on the M.2 NVMe and on the SSD.What happens is that I cant boot on the original M.2 anymore and on disk management the SSD that im booting in isnt even partitioned like the the other one was, further more I cant see my original M.2 in Devices.On the BIOS I can only boot using the Windows Boot Manager that in brackets says its using the M.2??!? and not the Samsung SSD???Is there a way to at least recover

Windows update bricks computer, windows keeps trying to go back to original non-ssd drive despite the fact that computer has been booting from SSD for ages

• I got an Intel NUC with Windows 10 Pro pre-installed.
  
• Installed an nvme SSD over a year ago, cloned the drive over, set SSD as boot drive, everything fine, computer boots from SSD.
  
• Notice recently that windows has somehow set the old platter drive back to the boot drive
  
• Set SSD as boot drive again, wipe the platter drive, it boots up from SSD with no problem
  
• Windows is now a version of windows from 2021 (that's what was on cloned SSD) but everything fine, update firefox, back in action
  
• Do first set of windows updates, everything
  
• Second set of windows updates the next night, computer suddenly won't boot
  

Have tried fixing it with the windows boot menu:

• Windows insists the only valid boot device is the original platter drive even though it's been formatted and the SSD was literally fine as a boot device an hour ago
  
• Windows can't repair the windows install by rolling back the feature update, probably because it is still trying to repair using the platter drive rather than the SSD
  
• Can't get the SSD to boot anymore
  

Here is a picture from my computer:

• SATA drive is the drive that windows insists is the boot drive since the update- it is a formatted empty drive that used to be the original windows boot drive
  
• CT500P2SSD8 is the actual windows drive on the SSD with windows and my data, etc
  

I would like for the computer to just boot like normal using the SSD drive (as it was like an hour ago) but I would settle for a working install of windows again so I can just reinstall my apps.

 

SSD as Boot Drive? How?

Well, I have Windows installed on the SSD, along with the drivers and browser. Now, I'm trying to install other stuff (Steam, games, etc.), but the mechanical drive isn't showing. I'm sure I missed a step?

 

Wondering about a second hard drive and installing Vista on it and also a ..

Annoying having to go into the bios each time though. And for me not a option unless i run 2 arrays.
