Windows 10: HELP!! Cant delete old college files. Error 0x8007016A: The cloud file provider is not running

Im getting this error as I want to delete all my old college work off of my laptop. Why can't i just do it? So frustrating. Any help is deeply appreciated. I have no interest in keeping these files, i want them gone but im being stopped from deleting them. It's causing me a lot of frustration.

On my F external USB drive some files are missing, But there is a OneDrive attached to it. All the files are shown with a X on them and when I try to transfer them to my C drive, I get the below picture. How do I run the cloud provider?

To fix the error 0x8007016A "The Cloud File provider is not running" in 2023, you can try the following steps:

1. Check if the "Cloud Files" feature is enabled in your OneDrive settings. To do this, right-click on the OneDrive icon in the system tray, select "Settings", go to the "Account" tab, and make sure the "Files On-Demand" option is checked.
   
2. Update Windows 10: Check for updates and update to the latest version of Windows 10.
   
   To check for Windows 10 updates, follow these steps:
   
   • Click on the Start menu and select Settings (gear icon).
     
   • Click on Update & Security.
     
   • Click on Windows Update.
     
   • Click on Check for updates.
     
3. If none of the above steps work, try resetting OneDrive.
   
   • Press the Windows key and R to open the Run dialog box, enter wsreset.exe, then select OK.
     
   • A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close. You can close the Microsoft Store window.
     
   • If OneDrive is still not syncing, press the Windows key and R again.
     
   • Copy this and paste it into the dialog window, then press OK.
